The topography of domestic space is seldom smooth and level. For the undocumented and unackowledged domestic workers that precede domestic life in most Asian societies, the cacophony of these inequities rings louder still. This project attempts to spatialize the suppressed domestic experience of these workers using disproportionality, contrast and a conscious muddling of the tangible with the intangible. Owing to their vivid interaction with the contours of the model rather than the model itself, shadows are used as the perfect allegory to reveal the dimensions that unacknowledged entities provide to the experience of a space.
