X2 Project. I was inspired by three objects: fan shape, stone and hot glue which help me to design this architectural model for our community.
X3 Project. There are many special and interesting elements on the earth. The goal for the geologist is to understand the history of the planet we live on and to have better predict the future and to explain current occurrences of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and landslides. Here, on this site, it has some special elements left for geologist to explores and research. The open exhibition also gives people opportunity to understand more information about our earth and how these geologist works.
The total has eight people, six people who likes exploring natural elements, such as Geologist, Biologists etc. Each researcher pairs with the other (researcher and mentor) which lives temporary and the other two people (one couple) who live in this community that contributes the natural exhibition, manage everything in the house which lives for a long term.

The first floor focus on the open public exhibition for the people in this community to share the knowledge. It also let people distinguish which one is fake rock, and which one is the real rock. The second floor is mainly used for the researcher to live and together. The dash line around the bed represents the moveable curtain to separate the space. The tables are set in front of this large rock which is convenient for researchers to explore the elements inside this large rock. Then the thid floor is for the managers to live for a long term and they have their own restroom. It also have a public space for managers and researchers to relax and have a meeting to talk about the exhibition on the first floor.
The two sections shows how poeple works in this space and how this building interact with this large rock.
The renderings show how people can interact with this large rock such as they can go into the rock in order to go to the second floor. It also has a stairs that around this large rock which can let people to go to the roof to look at the view around it. In addition, it has a skylight on the roof which can let the lighting go through the third floor. The interior rendering shows what people can see the light will go through the third floor when people stand on the stairs that inside this large rock.
This is my physic model that used the cardboard to build this large rock and the foam core to build the building and stairs.
