XIUJIN LIU
This two-floor building is a rework building, which is now used for work and stuff like that. This building is made of red bricks and has several pitced roof. Besides, what is really interesting is that this building has large glass wall, so that we can enjoy the beautiful scenery outside.
Inside the building, there are several columns, which is made of red bricks, and also there are some triangle truss that support the whole building. I change the texture of the building from red bricks to concrete. And this change could make interaction between building and light better. What is worth to mention is that there are a lot of pipe work, and I use color to divide these pipe through function.
Here I mainly mentioned several common components in buildings. The pipes mainly include exhaust pipe, air defense pipe, return air pipe, drainage pipe, water supply pipe and so on. In addition, structure column made of red bricks, windows, glass screen wall, truss, stairs are also included there.
In this part, I mainly explore how to combine cosmetic stuff and home stuff together, Then I come up with a subject named the dresssing table of a girl, which is a place could combine cosmetics and home stuff and mess layout together. about the radial layout, I find some refference like rotating cosmetic box and stuff like that. As for function, I play to divide this building into three part - exhibition part, experiment part an factory part, and I also find some procedure of chemical experiment and stuff produce.
I choose home stuff and cosmetic stuff. and my assmbly is mess, my plan is radial. So in my layout I choose to insert a circle in my original building, in addition, I simulate a kind of cosmtic box to build a large cosmetic exhibition board which is also a circle shape. As for mess, I follow the original pipe work to build a rotating wheel to convey stuff, which is like a ferris wheel and is mess, and also I build some desks randomly and freedomly. Finally, I place things disorderly.
In the plane, I mainly contain cosmetic stuff and home stuff, include
Engine, reagent bottle, measuring instrument, conveyor belt and stuff like that, which are mainly used to contain, convey research and create and produce the cosmetic stuff
Then, about the layout I find some referrence, for example, I simulate the rotating cosmetic box, and create the rotating exhibition board in the center part, and I simulate the ferris wheel to create a rotating convey pipe to transmit various stuffs.
The embeded cylinder is exhibition part, a large rotating exhibition board is in the center part and show the cosmetics to the customer, in addtion, the rotating wheel could carry the stuffs moving in front of th customer, so that they can observe the cosmetics clearly. and the two side is divided into two part, experiment part is used to do some chemical experiments, and to research and development new cosmetics. Plus is the factory part, where there are some machine to produce various stuffs.
The biggest part in this building is the transparent cylinder, inside which is exhibition part, and it is made of glass screen wall, so people outside could see the things inside and be attracted by them. Beisdes the radial layout, the most notable space experience is come from the rotating wheel, and in order to cater to “mess” subject, this wheel is random and disorder, plus it is everywhere, so people all over this building can see this wheel. in the two side of the building, there are experiment part and factory part, and the desks there is irregular shape, and all the stuffs are placed disordered. While people want to get in this building they have three two choice, enter from the side door, or inter from the center cylinder, different entrance services different function.
