WENQING ZHONG
This project is a community medical center, with a wheelchair-accessible ramped pool which figurally carves the site. While the building provides a 24-hour daily clinic, it also provides community public spaces such as private rooms for elderly, overnight check-ins, and swimming pool, poolside chat rooms, shower room, and terraces.
The concept which I want to incorporate in this building is community interaction. It is mainly reflected in sections. Section B shows a vertical interactive space from the patio to the swimming pool. Section C shows the spatial interaction between the indoor sunken chat room, and the outdoor swimming pool on the first floor. There is also a sunken space on the second floor, which allows the people here to better interact with the pool, even though they are not on the same plane.
