My room is on the third floor connecting with our porch and balcony. It is 2.8 meters tall (Code: GB 50352-2019). There are two doors whose widths are both 0.8 meters (Code: GB 50352-2019). One connects to the balcony and another connects to the porch. The main circulation path is the path that connects these two doors. This was my bedroom when I was a child, but now it turned out to be my office due to COVID-19.
In the middle of the room is the bed I used 10 years ago. It is 7’4’’ long, 3’5’’wide. Some of my toys are on the bed, and opposite to my toys stands my accordion box, which has a 120 bass accordion (BAIDI) in it. Right next to my bed is my desk, which has my computer(Surface Book), monitor(AOC), Sketch board (Rotring), and lamp(EYESPRO) on it. Against my table, at another end of the room, there are lockers and LCD TV on the lower locker. The closet occupied the entire south wall.
In this ANT map, I chose my sketching board to be my actor. I divided the life of a sketching board into three-part and represented each stage in different colors. Also for these three stages, I listed out the main impact and companies that are involved. beyond the circle shows the detailed information of each company and correlated events.
This organizational diagram of my room highlights the working area, light condition, entertaining area, and circulation. The window is the most important natural light source, other digital devices serve as artificial light resources. The main circulation path is from the entry of my room to the balcony. Also, there is a path from the working area to my closet and my bed, which represents my daily routine.
This graphic is composed of five lines. The working and entertaining zones are surrounded by wide, dashed rectangles. Three main light sources are pointed out by three circles and connected by straight lines to represent light ways. Two curved lines represent circulation paths whose width changes gradually to create a sense of movement. One circulation line has two arrow ends to represent the main circulation. Another has a flower-shaped end to point out the relaxing zones.
A wide dashed line in the entertaining area is extruded along a curve to show the space that it occupies. Rectangles in the working area are extruded and rotated to represent the space that is occupied both horizontally and vertically. The main circulation path is extruded along a circle both to show the path and to weaken the arrow that seems too strong in this picture. another circulation line is extruded, rotated to give a sense of a path that is not restrained by gravity. Finally, by arraying the light ways along a single line, it shows how light has filled up space.
This picture shows how massings are distributed along with space vertically. The light ways almost filled up the whole space. The main circulation is just like a tube that is floating in the middle. And there is one intersecting point for two circulation paths. Two extruded surface, one winded along a curve and another looked more like a cuboid box, shows how the working and entertaining areas distributed in the space.
This picture shows how massings are distributed along with space horizontally. Most of the space is filled up with light. Two circulation paths connected most parts of the room. The distribution of all the masses is intended to create a balance of spacing and massing.
