PEREGRINE GERETY
In this isometric view, we see the negative space of the room’s ellipsoid interior pressing through the room’s cubic exterior, forming doors on opposite sides and an elliptical skylight in the center of the ceiling. An
asymmetrical
four-sided pyramid cuts diagonally across the front of the room to provide a more interesting view looking both outward and inward. The left wall is also pierced by an elliptical window. The room’s interior space is completed by a rectangular cuboid nook in the upper right corner. This hidden nook provides spatial balance to the pyramid at the front and the window on the left.
The front elevation view looks directly through the room, revealing the symmetrical alignment of the front and back doors. From this view, both the skylight and the left hand window remain hidden, but the pyramid cutting across the room’s front face allows us to peek into the cuboid nook at the back of the room.
This cross section allows us to see a portion of each of the four elements that compose the room’s interior: the central ellipsoid that forms the interior space, doors, and skylight, the window on the left, the pyramid cutting through on the right, and the nook in the upper right hand corner.
