JEFFREY POLICICCHIO

The Rectangle Complex is named after the grid lines that formed the building layout. These grid lines, pictured above, were derived by extruding the intersecting lines of two similar horizontal rectangles within three similar vertical rectangles.

The 1-story building was designed for individuals recently released from psychiatric care on a 1,732 square foot floor plan. A glass cylindrical structure extrudes the roof creating an interior light source off of the living units while a glass cube covers the main gathering/kitchen area. The Rectangle Complex is accessbile, via roof access, to neighboring buildings on the South, East, and West.
