JEFFREY POLICICCHIO

My bed has a four foot tall wood headboard from Baxton Studio Raya, two pillows from Avocado Mattress, and lays on top a black carpet from Wayfair.com.  Opposite the bedset is a dresser from Amazon.com with three multi-sized candles from Pottery Barn, a “Dali-Paintings” book on top of a family photo.  Next to the dresser is an air purifier manufactured by Dyson.

On the West side of my bed is a 60 W lamp from lampsplus.com, a water bottle manufactured by Dasani and the book “Book De Architectura” by Vitruvius.  All items lay on a Mainstay Classis Nightstand from Walmart.

My Actor-Network map traces the actors and processes involved in acquiring a standard houseplant for individuals living in Midwest America.  The map traces the steps for a plant that is typically grown in warm weather climates, such as Florida, and delivered throughout the country.  An emphasis is placed on the impact of long-distance truck delivery systems.

The organizational diagram of my room focuses on the symmetric layout while highlighting the room circulation and majority of space occupied by the bed.  Another axis of symmetry is shown between the center point of the room and the nighstands flanking each side of the bed.

My graphic composition is composed of five lines with the two main lines showcasing symmetry on the X axis of the room and another atop the bed along the Y axis.  The room is highlighted by a dark hue and another square feature highlight showcases the bed.  A dashed-line highlights the room circulation with congestion occuring due to the bedroom door and closet door opening into each other.

Vectors for the graphic composition are extruded at four main heights with elongated shapes bordering the main composition of design.  The graphic composition aims to show the symmetric balance of the room while highlighting congestion points with extra features.

This view is from the South-East angle of the room.  Towering the design are the two tallest objects on opposite sides with a goal to create balance.  An emphasis is placed on areas of room with most activity through over-loaded rectangular shapes.

This view highlights the East side of room.  Initially standing out is the tallest object in design followed by a wave of medium-height pieces and finishing on the opposite side where the second tallest objects lay.
