The plan above shows the layout of my room from the bed located in the southern portion of the site to the attached bathroom and closet seen on the nothern portion of the site. On this plan I have zoomed into various areas to show the items that have collected on my furniture and I have annotated the objects throughout my plan.

The Elevation above shows the western wall of my plan in more detail. I chose this specific wall as a way of showing the various grids and geometries created from the various things I have gathered throughout my life. Along with this I had wanted to show the multitudes of different materials that begin to branch into the topic of sound and its relation to objects within a space.

The A.N.T diagram above is centrally focused on the idea of sound and its impact on different spaces throughout society. The central idea branches off into topics such as sound’s effects on health through noise pollution, the ideas of gentrification and how soundscapes are changed and impacted, and other forms of how sound can bridge gaps between languages and how these sounds can define an area. Along with this came various materials for sound absorption and how those materials are sold, manufactured and obtained.

The plan above shows the starting point for future steps. This starts off with the five lines, first of which is the dotted lines to represent primary and secondary sound circulation. The third line branching from the entry in the bottom left corner and extends to the closet represents primary circulation. The fourth line branches off from the main circulation towards the bathroom in the top left to represent the secondary circulation within the space. The final line encompasses the bed and is shaded in green representing the main object that alters both forms of circulation present.

The GIF above shows the process of further abstracting the original lines in the previous image. This shows how sound is represented by these sporadic wavelengths that bounce through the room. The bed is represented as a solid object preventing sound and movement. Circulation is prepresented by a series of lines being funnelled and changed as the space around you opens and confines.

Pictured above is a roof plan of the 3d model. This depicts how the elements have changed in a three dimensional landscape and the various overlaps and crossings of different elements in this dimension.

Above is an isometric view of the space; as it is cut vertically we can see it constricting and opening as sound bounces around the space interacting with the bed and circulation. Sound begins to be represented as these almost waves that flow through the space and are experienced differently throughout human circulation. The spheres represent the idea of sound moving in millions of directions once redirected. The bed is represented as this window of space that allows for circulation in a funnelled area between the bed and ceiling.

The isometric above shows the space being cut through the horizontal axis. This view helps visulalize the circulation as it can be seen as this height changing rails that define circulation, but don’t impede or limit it. This is shown in the bottom right corner through the idea of funnelling through the secondary circulation as it is limited to the bathroom space previously seen. Along with this the relationship of how sound interacts with circulation and space throughout the confines of my room can be further established and explored.
